There's so much to update on. But first things first - the trip back to primary school.
I am feeling warm and fuzzy inside. Ahh today's teachers' day and the trip back to my primary school really brings back the good old memories. I was the first to reach, so i decided to kill time by strolling around the neighbourhood. I bet i looked like fucking retard with a spastic smile plastered on my face, but i couldn't help but smile to myself as i reminisce about those carefree days eating at the small eatery and buying candies form shop & save. The comic store also brings back great memories.
Well, after meeting up with my old pals, we visited the newly renovated school which honestly looks like a condo. There are artificial water features and an empty space that looks strangely like a void deck. There's even a mini garden that reminds me of some recreational corner of a condo. And they freaking removed the one and only 'buddha' hall where there's this huge buddha statue. Damn. We paid visits to our teachers, miss seah, mrs seah, the principal, mr preston tan etc. Oh my god, they all remembered my face. Even ms gan remembered me and not ryan! I wonder what did i do back then to make them not forget me after all these years. Haha.
Saw lots of people from the same batch. Had a superbly exhausting time because there were three staff rooms on three levels. I walked up and down just to find teachers. Oh, the standard of canteen food dropped so horribly, it was unpalatable. I swear. I saw wei cong, who bears an uncanny resemblance to my cousin! I even called my cousin who is also a former student to tell him that but he's sick.
Anyhow, went to marina sqaure for dinner/catching up/movie with ann, gordon, terence, leslie, kangle, ryan after that. We shameless people shared a cup of starbucks so that we can hog up the seats to chat. Terence even asked for free iced water. Haha. By then, my legs were literally killing me, threatening to unbuckle anytime soon. Ate at Mac because we were kinda broke. Played some stupid lame games and i realised i'm windows 95.
Watched 'The Proposal'. It was freezing inside the theatre and i didn't brought a sweater with me. So you can imagine how cold my hands were at the end of the show. Ann and i kept laughing on the way out because we were so cold, our teeth were chattering and we simply can't control our jaw movement. We were kinda delirious. Went back home feeling satisfied! Had an awesome time and hope to see them again soon.
On sunday, went to NLB to study with joseph, leechin didn't want to go. But it was crowded so joseph only managed to get two seats on the couch. The area was kinda warm and not exactly conducive, so in the end we went to han's to continue studying. Ordered iced lemon tea and apple muffin while joe had yuan yang and chocolate eclair. Everything was fine until we noticed the shape-shifter.
The shape shifter happened to take the form of a han's staff while we were studying who kept staring at us. It was no joke man. We thought it was kinda hilarious when we first noticed her persistent stare in our direction but it just got troubling when we realized she isn't diverting her attention anywhere else. I swear if joe asked me to check if she was staring for twenty times, i caught her looking in our direction eighteen times.
Then we fled to bugis for dinner. We both agreed that the shape shifter poisoned our food because we were both feeling sick after eating. Joe had told me earlier on but i was fine, and so i ignored him. But later while on the way home, i felt this sudden acute pain in the abdomen and i was like 'shit!', he's not kidding man. Thank god i was reaching home.
